Starring Carl Reiner and Paul Reubens
"I
wish I had my own little son. I know I should wish I had a wife first, but when
you make a wish, you gotta narrow it down."
Alright, I've received plenty of criticism for leaving this
space blank, so I'll finally quit stalling and write a review. I suppose one of the reasons I've saved this one for
last is because I have very mixed feelings about this episode. Pinocchio is an unusual tale (to say the least) and this
production is extremely unique. The cast is all fantastic - Paul Reubens is perfectly cast in the title role, during
his Pee-Wee Herrman phase. Carl Reiner, James Coburn, John Belushi, and Lainie Kazaan are all good as well, but I could
have lived without the fake Italian accents. Still, it does lend itself to good lines like "he workeda longa into the
night. He drank alotta coffee." So overall I enjoy this episode, and I do watch it more often than I like to admit.
I suppose I do recommend it - it's just too bizarre to miss.
