Starring Joan Collins, Bridgette Andersen, and Ricky Schroder
A decent adaptation. This is certainly not my favorite episode,
but, I'll admit, Hansel and Gretel is not my favorite fairy tale either. Joan Collins pulls off another great performance
in the dual roles of the stepmother and the witch (reminiscent of the traditional Captain Hook/Mr. Darling roles in Peter
Pan) and she seems to enjoy both very much. Ricky Schroeder's Hansel is very well done, as is sweet-little Bridgette
Andersen as Gretel. She is so adorable that one can't help but fall in love with her. While this
faerie tale episode may not be the best adaptation out there, it is definately full of great performances.
