Starring Tatum O'Neal, Carole King, and John Lithgow
All in all, this was a good production. The costumes
are cute and the sets are fun. The only real problem with this faerie tale is in the story. Not the screenplay, the writers
did a very good job making the characters funny. It's just that the main story of the Three Bears is rather thin. It's great
when you're six years old and reading it to your baby sister, but it's not interesting enough for a made-for-tv movie.
Still, this is a worthwhile production. It's great to see Tatum O'Neal acting again. She is all grown up, but this role won't
help us see her that way - she is still playing a little kid, which is fun to watch. John Lithgow and Carole King are adorable
as Goldilocks's parents. Maybe if this ensamble
had picked a different tale the review would be different. As it is, it's ok, but not one that you'd want to watch over and
over.
