Welcome to my tribute to on of the best children's miniseries ever: Shelley
Duvall's Faerie Tale Theatre. I decided to make this webpage because I, like most kids from the eighties, grew up loving these
movies. I hope I'm not the only one that remembers them.
My personal favorites have always been The Dancing Princesses and The Princess
and the Pea, but they are all wonderful. The series was started by Shelley Duvall (who produced them, starred in four episodes
and introduced every one) in 1982. It first aired on Showtime in January of 1982, and last aired in November of 1987. The
various episodes proved very popular and hundreds of Duvall's fellow stars were anxious to appear in them.
Over time, the list of stories has grown to include hundreds of top-name stars
in 26 Fairy Tale Theatre productions. They included such stars as:
Eve Arden, Alan Arkin, Jennifer Beals, Karen Black, Jeff Bridges, Mathew Broderick, Dennis Christopher, Joan Collins, Tom Conti, Billy Crystal, Pam Dawber, Shelley Duvall, Carrie Fisher, Teri Garr, Melissa Gilbert, Jeff Goldblum, Elliot Gould, Katherine Helmond, Barbara Hershey, Gregory Hines, Anjelica Huston, Eric Idle, Mick Jagger, James Earl Jones, Klaus Kinski, Christopher Lee, John Lithgow, Peter MacNicol, Howie Mandel, Malcom McDowell, Elizabeth McGovern, Liza Minnelli, Helen Mirren, Leonard Nimoy, Tatum O'Neal, Bernadette Peters, Vincent Price, Vanessa Redgrave, Lee Remick, Paul Reubens, Susan Sarandon, Harry Dean Stanton, Jean Stapleton, Mary Steenburgen, Ben Vereen, Lesley Ann Warren, Robin Williams, and many more.
Quite an accomplishment for a small production company filmed completely inside
CBS studios. I have a page dedicated to each of the productions produced, as well as the Original Tales, and a new section is up In Memorium of the actors that appeared in the series that have since passed away.
Please feel free to look around and please sign my guestbook!
Please sign my guestbook with any comments or reactions you have to my site. You can

Right now this site is still under construction - with the recent visitors I've been getting,
it's tough to keep up - please be patient!

Ms. Duvall.
